[10:00 AM EDT - A break in the weather.]

It is very strange. The Leafs win and the skies clear. I don't know what's up with that, but rooting for the Leafs is probably a good idea up here weatherwise!

On the way to work, I was speeding (just a little bit) down the road when the car next to me (who was quickly catching up) suddenly drops back. Huh? Looking ahead I noticed two police officers who were standing in the street! I released the gas and tapped the brakes. Fortunately, they were looking the other way, but their cruisers were well hidden on a side road and had they set up a speed trap..

I'm still not quite sure what they were looking for. There was a car down the road that had stalled, but that's about it. (The guy didn't turn his hazard lights on though.)

[Saturday, May 18, 2002: On the road (yet again).]

I spent most of the day at yet another client site instead of at the office. The traffic out was pretty bad. Once we left the city, the density of cars shot up dramatically. I guess it was all of those cottage people who were trying to beat the rush, and ended up creating one. That's was okay though, we got to the site at an acceptable time and had enough time to do what we wanted to do.

The way back was pretty good. Traffic going into the city was fast. Going the other way on the other hand..

Let's just say that it was bumper to bumper from where I got onto the highway until I got to the city limits. I'm so glad I wasn't travelling in that direction. (I think we should increase public transit out in that direction.)

I was rushing back to the city to make it on time for the Early Bird special they have at the restaurant we were eating at that night. Amazingly enough, because traffic was so light in my direction, I had plenty of time to stop by the bank to do some banking and pick up a lotto ticket. (I figured I might as well try right? Well, I didn't win.)

The food was good and the restaurant was very nice. (We had a nice spot - one of those lounge type enclosures.) I wouldn't mind going there again, although the food is normally a tad pricey.

Afterward, I went to get a hair cut. Well, more like hair chop I guess. There isn't much left up there. *brushes hair* Then I got word from girl that they where going to watch "Attack of the Clones" tonight so I decided to tag along. (After updating my books.)

[Saturday, May 18, 2002: Attack of the Sequels.]

I went with Laz, Tenshi, girl, Dangerman, VW and his friend to watch "Attack of the Clones".

I got a call from girl telling me when the movie was about to start: 9:30. She told me that they wanted to be there an hour before start time so that we could get some good seats. So I looked at the clock: 8:25. Until we develop transporter technology, I figured that I was going to be late.

The place wasn't as packed as I had expected it to be considering that it was the first Friday night since the movie's release. Mind you, we did end up being in the third wave of moviegoes to enter the theatre even though we had arrived (at least our first group) an hour before showtime.

While I was looking around the theatre, I saw two figures standing in the aisle that looked awfully familiar. It was too dark in the theatre for me to clearly identify them and I wasn't sure if I wanted to shout out their names, (VW was offering to shout it out for me, but I decided against that idea.) but I eventually resolved to go up and confirm because I knew it would bother me for the rest of the week if I never checked. So I did. (After going to the washroom.)

"[MoB]?"

After turning around.. I realized that it WAS MoB!

Well I'll be. After I made that discovery, a female voice behind me asked,

"[QYV]?"

It was VL! Well, those two haven't changed a bit. Mind you, it's only been a couple of years (a few years?) since I saw the two of them last. So we chated it up for a while until the movie started, and after the movie ended I chatted with them again. Well, some things have changed, and some things haven't changed.

[Saturday, May 18, 2002: Clones!]

I've been spending some time checking out some of the Fan movies that are up on theforce.net. A few are pretty good, although the resolution on most of them aren't very high.

(Possible spoilers ahead.)

My thoughts on "Attack of the Clones" was that it was an okay movie. I think Lucas was trying to do too much with too little time. Trying to throw in political intrigue into a mystery with a romantic background with a dash of action thrown in for good measure. Babylon 5 tried to do the same thing, but it was more successful since it was able to spread everything out over a few years. Same goes for Legends of Galactic Heroes.

Star Wars is slightly different though. Here there is a puppet master at work. Pulling the strings of the rogue systems, pulling the strings of the senate, and probably even pulling the strings of some raiders on the planet Tatooine. (Why else would they tourture someone they normally would've killed outright?)

One thought did cross my mind. Nobody knew Anakin's father, but he is very powerful in the way of the force. There's only one other person who may be as strong as him. Darth Sidious. That would be a strange revelation wouldn't it?
