We got some broccoli from my mom a couple of weeks back and forgot about it in the fridge. We forgot about it until it started to smell that is. But since I had thrown out the bad food, the apartment has smelled like old broccoli! Ick. We tried using a spray to clear up the smell, but it has not gotten any better. Fortunately the bedroom was sealed before the smell could get in, but even having the exhaust fan running all night, the smell has lingered..
