[11:02 AM EDT - A new month. What did I miss?]

So it is October already. What did I do last month? Quite a bit I am afraid. We started up with the salsa and swing classes. We found out MM and some of her friends were taking the swing class, which actually made it much more entertaining when you know more people taking the same course as you are.

We also started up our full body boot camp. The first week really took us both out for several days. I did not fully recover until a week later. The second week actually was not bad! I felt fine the next day, which was good because I had to fill in for JW for volleyball. Volleyball was fun and within walking distance from the condo, but it conflicts with badminton so it was actually quite serendipitous that I was available for that one week that they needed me.

The reason why I was available was because I wanted to test drive the new Nissan Leaf. I am interested in new technology, and a mass produced electric vehicle seemed like something interesting to check out. The car itself was quite quiet, but drove pretty normally. I think the near complete silence takes some getting used to, but if it were cheaper (a lot cheaper) I would have considered getting it. Oh, also having a network of electric chargers around the continent would help too, but that may just be a matter of time.

They note that it takes "only" twenty-six minutes for a 80% quick charge. That is still quite a long time compared to the few minutes it takes to fill a tank right now. Well, we shall see how the technology changes in time..

We also went to a Muslim Indian wedding, which was quite entertaining because they turned the reception into a Bollywood production. There was a lot of dancing, skits, and a full trailer. Oh, and the food was mostly tasty (and not too spicy!). Downside? It was on a Sunday night and they were only halfway done around eleven, which was already getting past our bedtime, so we had to leave quite early.

We also tried out some hot yoga yesterday. The heat was really causing us to sweat. It was impossible to grip anything with my hands because water was just pouring out of my skin. Also, a lot of the positions were very difficult to do because my flexibility was rather lacking. It was a good experience though at the end. I felt quite clean despite extruding so much sweat afterward. (My clothes were soaked.)

We also went to EG's birthday dinner and party. It was good to see the gang again.

Oh, and girl and my mom are back in town so the whole family is back together again, albeit temporarily.
