This sucks, I got myself a Freeagent Theater+ so that we can view some shows without needing to link up MJNL's laptop, but I found out that I cannot access the drive on the device from the network with the firmware that I am using. There is modded firmware to allow for it, but I cannot downgrade to that version! Bah!
This is due to having Netflix as an option on the device. Unfortunately, I do not use Netflix (and I doubt I will), so I gain no benefit on the latest firmware and I lose out on the functionality!
Okay, enough ranting, I will figure out something.

Start using a Mac mini plugged to your TV as well as a Media server. The best thing: streaming to your iPad and or all other Apple devices as well as using the iPad as a remote control.
