MJNL's family held a Father's day lunch at her parent's place. MJNL's paternal grandfather was in town, and they figured that a large celebration was warranted. Everybody in the family including in-laws and potential in-laws were invited (my parents were invited). There was quite a large turnout. The estimated guest list had around fifty-six people and I did not bother keeping track. I did recognize just about everybody though, but I did not really get to talk to everyone. There was tons of food, but that is to be expected whenever there is a party of this magnitude.
It went very well though, although I think my parents were a little overwhelmed. I think they only recognized the immediate family (who were busy running around like headless chicken for the party) and BL's parents. Otherwise, it was a sea of unknown faces.
Everyone basically left by five, and MJNL and I stayed for dinner before taking some leftovers and going home.
