[12:18 PM EST - Headlights flashed before my eyes.]

Okay, first thing is that the heat pump does not quite work the way it used to. For one, I was able to keep the fan on and have the heat automatically turn on or off when needed, now I can only have the heat turn on automatically, but not have the fan running all the time or visa versa. It is quite annoying.

But back to the story.

MJNL and I were heading home from my parents' place last night. It was around one in the morning and we were a light north of Finch on Brimley. I was driving several car lengths behind the car in front of me when I noticed that the car swerved to the right. All of a sudden, there were two headlights headed straight for us!

I was able to swerve out of the way and honk the horn. Once I went back into my lane, I checked my rear view mirror but did not see anything out of the ordinary. Either the driver went back into the correct lane or turned into the side street.

MJNL called the cops, but we did not have any information on the car so there was not much that they could do.

My first guess would be that the driver fell asleep at the wheel, and my horn woke him/her up. It is no excuse however, but I am just trying to figure out what happened. Also, what about the car in front of me? I could not see the oncoming car because of the car in front, but this guy had nobody in front of him! He could at least have honked! Granted, there was a hill ahead, so the other car may have just crest the hill, but at least honk the horn!

(Although now that I think about it, if the driver of the oncoming car was asleep and did wake up from the horn, he could have swerved in the same direction that I did and I may not be writing about this entry right now.)
