I am feeling gassy. I just had a 'Gastroscopy' without sedation and I am not supposed to eat or drink for the next hour. The procedure itself was fast and painless. Although painless does not mean not uncomfortable.
The spray they used to knock out the gag reflex had an interesting taste, which got overwhelmed by the burning sensation as the feeling in my throat slowly disappeared. The second spray stung a lot less.
The device itself was maybe a centimeter in diameter, larger than I had expected, but once past the initial throat penetration (which was quite uncomfortable), the rest of it was just mildly discomforting. Their preparatory talk about concentrating on breathing helped immensely.
The procedure itself only lasted a few minutes, which was a good thing. There was nothing obvious found during the procedure, but I need to book a followup appointment for next year.
