[10:15 AM EDT - What about the male partners?]

Whenever MJNL and I go shopping, we inadvertently check out a lot of clothing stores. For the most part, MJNL is trying out new clothes, while I am scoping out sitting areas. I have noticed that the vast majority of clothing boutiques seem to lack a basic necessity for any male shopper: A place to sit. Sure, if we were in a mall, there are benches outside of the store, but they are outside of the store, and not all couples like to be separated especially if input is required from both partners. Yes, there are some stores that do provide a comfy couch or even a wood bench near the changing rooms (which is where I usually end up needing to sit). Yes, I could even go into some changing rooms and sit in there too, but more often than not, I am left standing, holding the bag(s), and wondering if it is worth burning a few more calories when my feet are starting to get sore?

There should be more chairs people! I like stores that have a shoe section because they have to have a seating area. But my only other consolation is that I had no gripes sitting on anything else that might be able to hold my weight, except the ground. And other people. And something that actually looks dirty. Or smells funny.

But I digress.

Maybe I should just bring along one of those collapsible chairs any time we go shopping. When MJNL goes to the changing room to try on her new selection of dresses, I can crack open the chair, and relax in front of the rest of the jealous boyfriends/fiances/husbands.

Then again, I do notice that quite a number of women do not actually go shopping with their male partners. The guys are probably at the electronics store. Or the arcade. Or at home. Harrumph.

Hmm, you could get yourself one of these (although it is 30 years too early for you...)

Surely you've seen this before:

Hrm, a rolling walker might actually be semi-practical, although a pain to haul around all the time. It can carry your bags, and you! Heck, why not just get a powered wheel chair then?

Or maybe I should just find an Internet connection and keep myself busy. Wiki to the rescue!
