I did something stupid. I tried to update the BIOS on my video card. Well, the flash process wiped the old BIOS off the card.. but did not put the new one on.
Fortunately, I was able to save a copy of the old BIOS on my hard drive. Unfortunately, I have no way of putting it back on to the card! Crap!

Hmm, have you tried searching for graphics card BIOS hacking tools to see if they can be used?
Unless it *was* a hacking tool you were using...

Erm, yeah. That is basically how I got into this predicament in the first place. I used WinFlash, which was able to tell me information about the BIOS. I tried to update the BIOS, but it erred out on me. Forcing it was a bad idea. I tried putting the old BIOS back on, but it just would not take. Ah well, I also have ATiFlash, but right now I do not have time to cobble together a startup disk to run to install the BIOS and test it.

Hmm, reminds me of the days of bad motherboard flashes. I came pretty close to ordering a new BIOS chip once. Unfortunately, I don't think vid cards come with user replaceable chips. Now I think I understand why they say "don't flash unless you're experiencing these issues".
If those other flash tools don't work you may have to go begging to the vid card tech support. If it's a new card it might be worth shelling out some $$$ for the non-warranty RMA.
